To Mormons and Christians

Welcome to our site. We cordially invite our visitors to attend a course in Mormon history. Many Mormons have no idea what they really believe because Mormonism has many facets and is not taught to Mormons as one might expect. They do not know the true foundation of the Mormon Empire. Mormons are under the impression that they are the most dedicated Christians and truly the only true church of Jesus Christ, because they are told that they have privileged information which is not accessible to outsiders, not even most Mormons. Mormons are so trusting in their leaders that they will tell you that they shut their thinking off and follow their Mormon leaders without scrutiny. We hope for the sake of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and salvation which He offers to all human beings, that visitors will have the courage to carefully follow the links and study the Mormon documents presented here for the purpose of bringing light to delusion. The site is for Christians who may be contemplating on becoming Mormons and for Mormons who may want to investigate their church. This site was constructed and equipped by those who have been made to "see" the truth so they can tell their brothers and sisters in Christ what they discovered.

"God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

Inviting the Mormon missionaries into our home,
is how it all began in 1970.

This is where it should have started!

----------------
We joined for several reasons. 1) We were told that the Mormon church is the only church which bears the name of Jesus Christ, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 2) An opportunity to serve the Lord personally. 3) Family home evening which meant spending quality time with our children. 4) We were told that we could become perfect. I believed then that humans could become perfect. 5) Mormons had the reputation of puritans which appealed to us. 6) We had searched for years for the perfect church and thought we had found it. 7) When I asked if they take sinners like myself they said that the water baptism required to gain membership would make me perfect.

What was our problem? 1) We had been "saved" by altar calls in meetings of "evangelists" like Rex Humbardt, Kathryn Kuhlman, Oral Roberts, Billy Graham, Robert Schuller, Kenneth Copeland, Bob George, and many other radio and television personalities and were floating without a church to go to on Sundays. 2) We were scripturally illiterate which was our biggest problem. 3) We did not expect "Christians" to lie to us: knowingly or unknowingly. We realize that people can bend the truth unawares.

It took twenty two years to get to the truth. Like the wallpaper on this website, the maze of Mormonism goes deep. The image below is a representation of Joseph Smith, Jr, the founder of Mormonism and the angel Moroni. There are a number of versions of the first vision.

The Book of Mormon contains a book named Moroni. Moroni is the son of Mormon. Mormon is the name used for the Mormon Bible which is supposed to be the best Scriptures ever written. One could parallel this Moroni in the Book of Mormon, to the Son of God whose name is also the Word of God. In the book of Moroni it is written that the book came by the power of the Holy Spirit. To believe that is to deny the Word of God which is the only truth.

"And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called THE WORD OF GOD." (Revelation 19:11-13)

If the Book of Mormon were part of this Israeli Jesus, it seems to us God would have told us so and not lied to us. Revelation which is still the same book, continues to emphasize that we can rely on Jesus who represents the Word of God only by giving us this verse:

"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book (Word of God), If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city and from the things which are written in this book." (Revelation 22:18-19)

The Golden Plates were never seen by anyone but Joseph Smith jr. who founded the church. Supposed witnesses only saw them with their mind's eyes, also called the eye of faith, in other words in a vision, not with their physical eyes. Oliver Cowdery later joined the Methodist Protestant Church of Tiffin, Ohio and stated that he "..was sorry and ashamed of his connection with Mormonism," (True Origin of the Book of Mormon (1914) pp. 58-59)

Joseph Smith stated that he gave the golden plates back to an angel when he completed his translation. Researchers found that that much gold would have weighed in the neighborhood of 100 to 200 pounds.
The hieroglyphics were supposedly to be reformed Egyptian which doesn't exist.

Close to 4000 changes to the Book of Mormon have been documented. There is no archaeological evidence that the characters or the cities mentioned in the Book of Mormon ever existed.

Even though LDS Apostle Pratt said: "who knows that even one verse of the Bible has escaped pollution, the Book of Mormon contains 27,000 words out of the King James Version written in 1611. The Book of Mormon was supposed to have been written by ancient prophets who gave an account of people in 600 B.C.. They were supposedly tribes from Jerusalem which implies that Indians are Israelis. This has been scientifically disproven only a few years ago. Indians have a mongoloid spot which Israelites do not have. Bible cities are verifiable, but the Book of Mormon cities are not verifiable. The book is internally inconsistent.

Some scholars believe that parts of the Bible were copied since Isaiah chapter 2 - 14 is written verbatim in the Book of Mormon.

The Book of Mormon describes the trinity as Christians believe which does not agree with other Mormon doctrine. Mormons do not believe in the trinity. Their gods are three separate gods. Two have physical bodies. Mormons believe that they existed in the spirit world before they came to earth and chose Jesus, one of their spirit brothers, there. To become a god, Mormons have to have a physical body which is their purpose for living on earth. God was once a man in Mormon theology.

Paul spoke of a man caught up to the third heaven.. caught up into.. paradise.. (2 Corinthians 12:4)
"..Thou shalt be with me in paradise..," said Jesus.. (Luke 23:43)
"To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life which is in the midst of the paradise of God."
(Revelation 2:7)
All of the above are Biblical references

Below is Mormon Doctrine about their three heavens (glories).

"..ye walked according to.. (the) world, .. the prince of power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience." (Ephesians 2:2)

Above is the symbolism used in Mormonism to which we have added the explanation of what it portrays. The symbols represent the compass, the square and the level (straight line in the center above the G, their interpretation is: every knee shall bow. The G is used in Masonry and omitted in Mormonism. Mormons do use the level (the straight line representing "every knee shall bow).

The symbols Mormons use were adopted from Freemasonry.
To recap some hard to read lines:
Next to Celestial Glory 1. degree, 2. degree, 3. degree. Mormon heaven has 3 degrees within Celestial glory which relates to Temple Mormons. The goal is the 3. degree, the highest level for Mormons to attain to receive godhood. Few know that there are three degrees and few will attain to the third level. It is by invitation only.

Telestial Glory are they of Paul, Apollos, Cephas, Christ, John, Moses who received not the Gospel. Liars and sorcerer will be servants of God. Redeemed in the last resurrection.

Terrestrial Glory is spirit prison, the unsanctified lost, who died without the law, note that they too receive glory, but not the fulness.
These three glories are described in their Doctrine & Covenants 76:77-112

The symbol beneath the compass is the square, the female. It is also called the Egyptian goddess Isis, mother of Lucifer. see Daniel 11:40, it is also Mitternacht (midnight), direction is North.

The symbol laying across the square is the male represented by a compass with a round circle at the top. One might call it the head which represents the Sungod also named Osiris the Egyptian god of the underworld. This point is Noon in astrology and considered to be south. Joseph Smith was heavily involved in astrology.

This symbol is the act of creating a child, a son to whom all knees shall bow.

Note there is no hell in the Mormon doctrine. Their doctrine is rooted in evolution and all are eventually saved.
